Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you accept returns?
Sadly, for sanitary reasons, we cannot accept returns. Please see our policies for more detailed information.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes, we absolutely do! While we will never recreate someone else’s work, we are happy to work with you to create something amazing! Contact us to get started.
What are your earrings made out of?
We mostly use polymer clay to create our jewelry. We will occasionally include different mediums such as acrylic and watercolor paints, resin, acrylic, brass, stones, wood, and more. We use both yellow and white gold filled metal, as well as some sterling silver and stainless steel. All metals we use are nickel-free and hypoallergenic. Please do contact us if you have any specific questions or concerns.
Where can we contact you?
You can always get in touch with us regarding your order via email at cayenneandcake@outlook.com and on Instagram for anything else @cayenneandcake
How long will it take for my order to get here?
We have a processing time of 10-14 business days. Custom items may take longer, but you can also find the processing time in each individual item listing so you always know what to expect. We ship every order via USPS which usually takes between 4 and 7 days to be delivered. This may vary with heavy postal volume on their end, and unfortunately there is nothing we can do to make it ship faster once it leaves our hands. If you'd like expedited shipping, please do contact us before placing your order and we will be happy to work with you.
How much is shipping?
We ship all US orders for free with First Class Shipping! You are welcome to upgrade your shipping to Priority at cost to you. Due to current issues with some international shipping, we cannot offer shipping to Australia at this time. Once things change we will be sure to let everyone know.
My package says delivered but I do not see it! What should I do?
Please contact your local USPS and let them know. We are not liable nor responsible for the actions of USPS. Please see our policies for more detailed information.
I had earrings in my cart and when I went to check out they said “sold out.” Why is that?
This is a way that Shopify protects the seller, so even if an item is in your cart, it is not yours until checkout is completed with a form of payment.
I got makeup on my earrings, how can I remove it?
It’s bound to happen, but luckily it’s also easy to fix! Makeup removing wipes work great, but you can also use a cotton swab or cotton ball with a little acetone or rubbing alcohol and gently rub the makeup off. It comes off quickly and won’t leave any residue on your earrings.
How is my privacy protected?
Cayenne & Cake will never share your information with anyone else. The information you provide to us will only ever be used as you intend it to for each purchase. We adhere to all Shopify and third party privacy policies as well.
Do you sell the earrings you wear for try ons or photos?
No, never! I only sell new earrings that have never been worn, due to sanitary reasons. The earrings you see me try on or wearing are prototypes as most of our earrings are made to order. We have an acrylic stick to use to show styles that are one of a kind.
Do you combine shipping?
We do! We are happy to combine shipping on multiple orders placed that are going to the same address. Just leave us a note during checkout letting us know.
Do you have an affiliate program?
We do!! While we are currently on a short break, when we start the program back up you can click the "Become a Brand Ambassador" link in our footer for more information when it’s available (coming next in August).
Why do you do so many giveaways?
We really do a lot, they’re so much fun! 😅 We love giving things away, and seeing the excitement you all get from winning something we’ve made just warms our hearts so much. If you don’t know, we do a weekly giveaway with our New Set Saturday Collection releases where you can win your favorite design from the set. Check out our Instagram or Facebook pages to enter every other Wednesday at noon!
